TELEROD GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED PLASTIC ROD (GFRP)

The FRP rod or the Central Strength Member (CSM) provides tensile strength to the Fibre Optic Cable protecting it during installation and its rigidity prevents cable buckling during the life of the cable.

UPJACKETED -HDPE/LDPE is co-extruded on FRP rod to increase diameter as per customer requirement.
EAA COATED -Ethylene Acrylic Acid (EAA) is coated on FRP to give excellent adhesion to cable jacket polymer.
WATER BLOCKING - FRP rod is coated with super - absorbent polymer to block water.
METERED - Length marking is provided at every meter.
TRACER EMBEDDED - A tracer wire is embedded in the FRP for locating buried fibre optic cable for maintenance.
FINE RODS - Thin FRP of diameter 0.4mm and 0.5mm for FTPH cable with small bending radius.
ARAMID ROD (ARP) - Very high modulus ARP rods are made of aramid yarns to give more strength in small diameter. Extensively used in FTTH cables for its property of very small bending radius.
